How does Foundayo work?

Orforglipron acts on GLP-1 receptors in the body. GLP-1 is a naturally occurring hormone involved in appetite regulation, food intake and blood glucose control.

When prescribed for weight management, Foundayo is used alongside dietary changes and increased physical activity to support weight loss and long-term weight management.

Who may be eligible?

For weight management, Foundayo is licensed for adults with an initial BMI of 30 kg/m² or above, or a BMI of 27 kg/m² to below 30 kg/m² where at least one weight-related condition is also present. Examples include prediabetes or type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, dyslipidaemia, obstructive sleep apnoea or cardiovascular disease.

Your medical history, current medicines, BMI and treatment goals must be reviewed by a prescriber before any prescription-only treatment is supplied.

Always take Foundayo exactly as prescribed by your clinician.

  • Take one tablet once daily.
  • It can be taken at any time of day.
  • It can be taken with or without food.
  • Swallow the tablet whole.
  • Do not break, crush or chew the tablet.
  • Do not take more than one tablet in a day.

Treatment normally begins with 0.8 mg once daily for 30 days. Your clinician may then gradually increase your dose depending on your response and tolerance.

If you forget a dose, take it as soon as you remember. Do not take more than one dose in the same day.

Do not change your dose or stop treatment without speaking to your clinician.
